The Restaurant

Table bookings for the restaurant are now being taken. Service is from 12.00 noon till 2.30pm and 5.30 pm till 9.00pm Monday to Friday, 12.00 till 9.00pm on Saturdays and on Sundays there are two sittings one at 12.00 noon and another at 2.30pm. You can book a table at a different time, but the table must be vacated by 2.15pm to allow for cleaning and relaying.
We get asked a lot for “Gluten free” food. We cannot offer a gluten-free menu, because we use gluten in the kitchen and there is a risk of cross contamination. We do not have a separate fryer for gluten-free food and our homemade beer batter contains gluten. We can offer you a meal that we have taken out ingredients that contain gluten, but we can’t claim to be a gluten-free kitchen. Please ask for options when you arrive, and we do our very best to accommodate your dietary requirements.
Dogs, mans best friend- although not everyone would agree.
We are a dog friendly pub, all we ask is that all dogs are on a lead AT ALL TIMES and under control. They are allowed in the bar and the garden but unfortunately, for the enjoyment of our other guests, they are no longer allowed in the restaurant, except for breakfast when staying in the accommodation.
Our restaurant is a relaxed and friendly place to have lunch or an evening meal. We serve a large range of starters, main courses and desserts, where the emphasis is on quality food at reasonable prices. All the meals are prepared by the team of experienced chefs, ensuring that everything is done to make your meal as enjoyable as possible.
The restaurant is light and airy with a cosy ambience for evening dining. The restaurant is also available for private bookings. We cater for large parties and regularly have birthdays, weddings and other celebrations.
We’d recommend booking in advance especially for evenings and weekends because we are very popular! However, you can choose from the same menu in the bar, so you’ll always be able to enjoy our great food.
We pride ourselves on providing what you would like, so if you want to adjust a menu item you won’t get any quibbles from us.
